Getting started with Orbit: your first 15 minutes

In your first 15 minutes with Orbit you can create a workspace, add your first contact, build a simple deal pipeline, and approve your first AI agent suggestion. Orbit is a free CRM with 16 built-in AI agents, and you only need an email address to start. No credit card, no sales call.

What you are setting up

Orbit is a CRM built for one person, with a team of 16 AI agents living inside it. Today you are not configuring all 16. You are getting the skeleton in place: a workspace, one contact, one pipeline, and proof that the agents actually do something useful when you ask.

How do I get started with Orbit?

Open app.inorbit.one and follow these in order. The whole thing takes about 15 minutes.

  1. 1Create your workspace. Sign up with your email, name your workspace (your business name works fine), and you land on an empty dashboard. A workspace is your private, isolated world: contacts, deals, tasks, and agents all live inside it.
  2. 2Add your first contact. Click New contact, type a name and email, and save. Add a phone number if you have one. The contact opens to a timeline that will fill with calls, emails, and notes over time.
  3. 3Build a pipeline. Go to the Deals area, create a pipeline, and add a few stages. If you are unsure what stages to use, start with the 5-stage setup in how to set up a sales pipeline. Drag your new contact in as a deal.
  4. 4Add your AI model key. In Settings, open the agents or API keys area and paste in an AI model key (the agents run on your own key, billed by the provider at cost). This is what wakes the team up.
  5. 5Run your first agent suggestion. Open the in-app assistant or the agent inbox and ask for something small, like a draft follow-up to your contact. The agent returns a card. Read it, edit a word if you like, and approve it. That is the whole loop.

The 3 settings to change first

Most people skip these and regret it. Two minutes now saves confusion later.

  • Your time zone and working hours. Settings uses these for task due dates, the calendar, and any voice agent calling windows. Get them right before agents start scheduling anything.
  • Your name and signature. Set how you sign emails so when Tess drafts a follow-up, it already reads like you wrote it, not like a robot.
  • Your AI model key. Without a key the agents stay quiet. Pasting one in Settings is what turns the 16 agents from names on a page into a working team.

Nothing an agent produces sends on its own. Every draft, call plan, and reminder arrives as a card you approve, edit, or dismiss. Your judgment is always the last step.

How do I sign up for Orbit?+

Do the AI agents work right away?+

They start working once you add an AI model key in Settings. The agents run on your own provider key and the provider bills you directly at cost, usually cents to a few dollars a month for a solo user. Until a key is added, the agents stay idle.

What should I set up first in Orbit?+

Change three settings first: your time zone and working hours, your name and email signature, and your AI model key. These three make tasks, calendars, and agent drafts behave correctly from day one. Everything else can wait.

How long does it take to set up Orbit?+
