What does Remy actually do?
Remy is your first-touch voice agent. When a new lead fills a form, Remy calls them back in about 90 seconds, the window where speed-to-lead wins or loses the deal. Remy answers questions, books a meeting from your true calendar availability, and when a caller is clearly hot, transfers them straight to your cell. Every call is logged on the contact with a recording and transcript. This is speed to lead done by a machine that never sleeps.
Remy runs on your own Vapi account and your own phone number, so you control the line and the costs. Voice is off by default and Remy discloses the recorded line on every call.
How do I set up Remy in Orbit?
Plan about 20 minutes, including a test call to yourself.
- 1Connect your Vapi account in Settings and select the phone number Remy will call from. Remy uses your own Vapi account, so the provider bills you directly.
- 2Set calling hours in your time zone and a daily cap. Remy will never dial outside the window or past the cap. Add any do-not-call numbers now.
- 3Write Remy's briefing. Keep it to about five sentences, covered in the tip below. This is what Remy says and how Remy behaves.
- 4Set the transfer-to-cell rule. Decide what makes a caller hot enough to transfer, and the number to transfer to.
- 5Run a test call. Submit a test lead or call your own number, walk through the flow as if you were a prospect, and listen to the recording.
- 6Review recordings after the first real calls. Read the transcripts on the contact timeline, tweak the briefing, and let Remy improve.

Remy is built to be cautious. These guardrails come on without you asking.
- Off by default. Remy does nothing until you connect Vapi and enable the agent.
- Calling hours and daily cap. No calls outside your window, none past your cap.
- Retry limits and do-not-call list. Remy stops after a set number of attempts and never dials a number on your do-not-call list.
- Recorded-line disclosure. Remy tells the caller the line is recorded, every time.
- Full logs. Every call lands on the contact with a recording and transcript, so you can always check what was said.
